Concept campaign group feedback

This is the feedback which I received from my production group from looking at my designed digipak's front, inside, and back cover. The feedback I received was both positive and critical. This feedback enabled me to analyse what I could do different in the future and what could have made it look even better.

My group stated that straight away from my album cover design it was clear and obvious that it was a band instead of an individual artist and this is extremely important factor which can affect the sales and audience. They further stated that the design on the inside right which is the CD disk, looked really good and worked really well with our main song which is 'Where is my Head?' and our main concept by the use of the large question mark which takes up the base of the CD disk. The use of the colours on this page further adhere to our key genre conventions and portray the band as a pop rock band.

The feedback I received for the front and back cover was that the front cover looks more like a cover for the song as it relates to the music video, but the back works really well and shows the band as a whole and not just focusing on one music video. Strong behind the scene elements which portray the idea that this is an album cover. My group further stated that this design is able to reflect the genre of our band as the colour scheme adheres to a pop rock genre, but a criticism which related to the colour scheme was that the back cover has very cold colours present whereas the front cover has extremely warm colours and tones which are present, these juxtapose one another. A criticism which was addressed was that there were four different designs for one cover and I needed to pick one which I could have focused on which would have worked better and resulted in a stronger album cover. They further stated that the liked the simplicity of the inside covers and how it cancels out from the busy and chaotic front and back cover.
