Wendy created digital merchandise for our band which is signed with the bands logo. She created bags, jumpers, t-shirts, and CD disks and the cover. Millie and I then uploaded these to both our social media campaigns on twitter and instagram. We came up with captions which we could add under these posts to make them seem more professional and to help market the merchandise. We are going to evenly distribute these images on our social media pages.

From our feedback which we received from our group we then incorporated our new ideas into our posts. We uploaded posts which further portray more behind the scene footage, footage of band members not rehearsing or filming, and enjoyable content for our audience. We decided to delete the previous countdown posts from '48 hours' and then 'tomorrow', and upload more content of the band members before the countdown began. We wanted to create more countdowns for the release of the music video on our twitter and instagram page in order to further increase the build up and excitement for our audience.

In order to carry on progressing in the creating of our social media campaign on twitter and instagram. We decided that some of our content created needs to be published to the audiences. We decided to announce our album and music video release date as this builds awareness and demand for the product (marketing). We created a countdown for the release. In a real world scenario this would allow the band and the record label to get an idea of the interest and engagement for their product upon release.
As a band we wanted to show our audience our acknowledgment and support to the LGBTQ+ community. In order to do this we edited our band logo and changed it to the colours of the pride flag and we then added a heart. We then uploaded this logo to both our twitter and instagram page.

Group campaign feedback: 1
Millie and I received feedback from our production group based on our social media campaign so far, we were told that the genre is clear to identify through the posts which we have uploaded and through the layout of the social media platforms we have adhered to the genre conventions of a pop rock band. We were further told that our star image is portrayed correctly through our social media and the way which have presented our band definitely create a star image and make them the main focus as we are selling them as a group and not their music. The one thing which they did address which we need to develop more and improve is the theme which flows through our instagram campaign. They highlighted that all the posts so far follow different themes and different colour schemes, it is not all the same and makes it more difficult to focus on what kind of vibe the band bring. An idea which as a group we all discussed which could help the flow of our theme and colour scheme was to follow and explore the social media campaign for the band Coldplay which present similar images and themes and from this we could be inspired by their layout and follow a similar idea. On the other hand for our twitter social media campaign our group stated that they really liked it and thought it was extremely aesthetically pleasing and portrays the band in a really positive way and looks very professional.
As a group we gave Wendy feedback from her digipak design which she has created. We told her that she has created an extremely strong digipak design which convey all the correct aspects to our band and selling/promoting them. The artwork which she has created adhere to our genre conventions, portray the star image, provide band details and information, and sell the band. The one criticism which we addressed was the four images of the band members on the inside left cover, we didn't like how the band members looked and the type of images they were as they very much follow pop genre and not as much rock. Wendy further agreed with this feedback and we as a group decided to complete another small photoshoot where we could get the correct images we want to finalise our digipak.
Overall all of our products work really well together as a campaign and portray the same conceptual ideas and developing ideas, Millie and I's created social media campaigns, Wendy's digipak final designs, and the music video so far which Amanda has been editing.

These are screenshots of me editing the images which we took on our photoshoot. Millie and I selected our favourite photographs out of the whole shoot and we selected around 30 out of the 300 photographs we took. I then placed these 30 images into Adobe Lightroom and completed post production on them. I edited the brightness, texture, clarity, shadows, highlights, and exposure on these photographs.

Millie and I completed a photoshoot for our bands social media campaign. We arranged a time to meet in Cranleigh so we could take photographs in different locations and around the village. We were able to find really good locations which allowed us to adhere to our genre conventions, and the band were all dressed in the right clothing for the shoot. The locations which we found were a skate park, a private road, and the back of a supermarket where there were stairs and trollies which we could use as props and place the band members around to make it look good and work. Overall this was a very successful shoot and is going to further allow us to create a professional social media campaign for our band and allow us to adhere to the genre conventions of a pop rock band.
This is a contact sheet of all the photographs which we took on the shoot around Cranleigh:

Updated band logo
This is an updated version of our band logo design. This adheres much more to our genre than the previous logo and shows they are a pop and rock band. As the logo with the white background was much more pop than rock.

These are the first two posts/tweets which I uploaded to Twitter. This is informing our audience that we are now on Twitter and will now be uploading regularly. We have also provided our audience with hints that we are releasing music soon.
We decided to change our band logo and instead of it being black writing on white background it is now the other way round with white writing on black background. This makes it stand out much more. We then had to delete the profile pictures on both instagram and twitter and re upload them with the new band logo design.

Band logo
This is our bands logo which Wendy created. This logo shows the type of genre our band is and it is easy to read and identify that our band is called 'Buzzkill'. We will be using this logo on our social media campaigns, digipak's, and merchandise, which we will be making online.
