Setting up music video / behind the scenes

On the day before our music video my group and I went to the filming suit and began to set up for the first set up (the basement set up). We began with dressing the walls which were going to be placed around the basement, we used posters which we brought and collected from our cast members and began placing them on the walls. A problem which we discovered while setting up was that we did not have enough posters for the walls therefore we had to go around the media classrooms in school to see if we could find any posters that we would be able to use, we did find two posters which ended up working really well and looking really good on the set. Once we had these two posters and our other ones we still needed more to place on the walls. Amanda went online and searched up 90s bands posters and she printed these out on A3 and we were able to place these on the walls of the basement. Another problem which we discovered while setting up was that we could not add in the sofa or the mattress which we had originally planned to put in the basement due to the space, we as a group had pictured our location as much bigger than it actually was. In the end we were able to work around this issue and come up with other ideas which ended up making our video look even better. Once the walls were dressed we then began adding in the carpets, tables, shelves, amps, extra props, and instruments. This was a very enjoyable task to complete as we were all working around each other but also as a group to see what was working well and what was not working well, by working together it allowed us as a group to share our ideas and visions as to what we wanted to set to look like. Our initial set up idea was to make the basement look as messy and as relaxed as possible to create the band vibe and atmosphere. At the end of the day we were all extremely pleased with ourselves and how the set turned out as we managed to create the image which we were all hoping to create.

We further made sure the day before filming that we had everything organised and all the shot lists, story boards, and action lists printed out ready to film. We further arranged the meeting time with our cast members for the next day, we informed our members that they will need to be at school at 8:30am on the following Wednesday the 3rd.
